10-3-2013 Piano 14 – Abodeon, Mass Ave, Cambridge
Here’s a reprise of “The Piano Man” (which first happened when I played on the JP Licks Piano) and with another collaborator. We had so much fun! He was there with his bicycle, and he had been hanging around another pianist before I got there.
10-2-2013 Piano #11 – The Esplanade
I made this recording after bell ringing rehearsal at the Church of the Advent. It was very dark out, but the piano still wasn’t locked at 9:15pm, so I took advantage!
10-4-2013 – Central Square – Piano 20
This was my sixth piano of the day. Finishing just in time to help with the Femme Show at the Cambridge Y (which was incidentally directed by my roommate Maggie Cee!).
Honestly, my birthday is this month, and I feel like I’ve been going on a huge wondrous adventure with these pianos. What a gift! I’ve met soo many people I never would have considered meeting, and I’ve seen some incredible and genuine human connections happening…I’m awed.
10-4-2013 – Kendall Square – Piano 19
This piano was covered in legos! Very appropriate for Kendall Square. I love it when a spontaneous collaboration happens, too! This guy just walked up and started playing with me 🙂

10-4-2013 – 1 Kendall Square Cambridge – Piano 18
This became one of the most cohesive improvisations yet, and maybe it’s because I tried deliberately to leave comfortable diatonic scales behind. I loved this piano. It was covered in decoupaged comic strips, and it reminded me a lot of the decor in The Friendly Toast, which, if I remember correctly, is in the same square…
10-1-2013 – Brattle Square – Piano 8
I found this piano around 6:45am, and it was covered in dew! There was no plastic cover over it, and the keyboard wasn’t closed. I spent a good 5 minutes wiping it off with a towel before I started to play, and then I discovered that many of the hammers were too wet to make any sound!
